Blizzard makes it easier to stream games to Facebook

Now all your Facebook friends can share your Overwatch frustrations as Ana wastes another ultimate on Lucio.

Blizzard Streaming is now available in the Americas, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It allows people using Blizzard’s Battle.net client to easily stream the game to Facebook. It is compatible with Blizzard hits like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Diablo III and StarCraft II. Blizzard noted in a press release that global access is coming soon.

“Blizzard Streaming can be accessed in the upper right corner of the Blizzard client,” Blizzard noted in the press release. “Once you’ve updated your Blizzard client on PC, simply click the broadcast button, use Facebook login to authorize Blizzard to post to Facebook, and you’re ready to stream your game! Blizzard Streaming Mac Support be there soon.

Live games are popular thanks to sites like Twitch. Facebook has been trying to get into gaming itself, and having such an easy method of streaming popular games like Overwatch and Hearthstone could give the platform a boost. Blizzard is one of the biggest names in PC gaming, so this deal adds legitimacy to Facebook’s streaming efforts.
