ECNL Boys to Record and Live Stream Matches at South Carolina National Event

Richmond, Virginia – The Elite Clubs National League Boys today announced that the league will record and livestream all games from the ECNL South Carolina National Event for the U17 and U18/19 age groups.

The purpose of this offer is to further maximize exposure opportunities for key players of recruiting age and provide a scouting advantage to college coaches who cannot attend the event in person.

Given the extension of the NCAA recruiting dead period that continues to prevent Division I coaches from recruiting off-campus until January 1, 2021, the decision to live stream and tape all U17 games and U18/19 at the Greer, SC event will serve a critical and timely need for league players who missed out on competition and showed up for much of 2020 as a result of COVID-19.

Between in-person scouting of Division II, III, and NAIA coaches, and the ability for all college and professional scouts to view games via live stream and archived access to recorded games, the South Carolina national event will provide the largest and most readily available scouting opportunity for ECNL players since the league’s inception. All games will be made available for viewing at no charge, allowing family members and scouts to enjoy ECNL play throughout the event dates of December 11-13.

“While safe return to play remains a top priority across the country, it is necessary that we also focus our attention on the testing opportunities these players deserve,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner, Jason Kutney. “As a league, this is an opportunity for us to support college players and coaches in a new way, at a time when innovative approaches, solutions and connectivity have never been more important.”

More information about ECNL South Carolina, including COVID-19 protocols, will be released soon along with live stream details.
