Elgato makes some of the most popular tools for game streamers, and among the company’s arsenal is the Stream Deck, a USB device that gives you 15 programmable keyboard shortcuts that can add a visual touch to your stream with just a tap. just a button away. It’s a pretty handy thing to have, but while Mixer is your streaming platform of choice, it just gets more and more handy with its latest software update.
Stream Deck version 1.6 includes new Mixer integrations, allowing users to easily configure pre-composed chat messages and other options with the platform buttons. The update also includes support for Twitter’s increased character limit for your pre-composed tweets. Here’s a look at what’s new in the release notes:
Mixer integration
- Your Mixer stream has just received an upgrade. With the push of a button, you can now:
- Post pre-composed chat messages
- Clear your chat history
- Activate / deactivate slow chat
- It is also possible to monitor your number of live viewers directly on Stream Deck.
280 Character Tweets
- For better or worse, Twitter has increased the character limit from 140 to 280, which you can now use in your pre-composed tweets.
We took a look at the Elgato Stream Deck earlier in 2017 and came away in awe. One of our only gripes was the lack of native support for Mixer (still called Beam at the time), so it’s good to see dedicated Mixer integrations added to the mix.
So you stream on @WatchMixer?
Stream Deck 1.6 with native Mixer integration is now available for free download!
