Friday night means high school football in Pennsylvania for the next three months.

This season, PennLive offers live coverage of some of Mid-Penn’s top games on the schedule each week. The subscribers will be able to watch one game live each week, complete with live commentary, game-by-game coverage and more.

Bruce Badgley will be joined by Luke Brown and Cary Moyer throughout the season on the live stream.

Live video coverage kicks off big Saturday at the Chambersburg Peach Bowl, featuring two state title contenders. Bishop McDevitt takes on Philly-power Imhotep Charter at 5:30 p.m.

McDevitt introduces junior wide receiver Rico Scott, who already has offers from Division I programs such as Alabama and Georgia, to name a few. The quarterback, sophomore Stone Saunders, was PennLive’s first-team All-PA pick in the preseason, and he also has a nice offer slate that includes Texas A&M. Crusaders running back Marquese Williams is a commitment from Minnesota, offensive tackle Gabriel Arena is a commitment from Virginia Tech and defensive tackle Riley Robell is heading to James Madison.

On the other side is Imhotep, who reached the 5A state title game a season ago. His offense is led by junior running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman, a Georgia commitment. The defense is also loaded, with Michigan signing Semaj Bridgeman at linebacker, Pitt signing Jahsear Whittington at defensive tackle, and one of the nation’s top safeties, Rahmir Stewart, patrolling the secondary with announced corner Kenny Woseley Jr. Also, 6 feet- Six-year-old, 230-pound second-year defensive end Zahir Mathis is considered one of the best in the country in his category.
