Lego previews new sets, including Avatar, Star Wars and Marvel models


The LEGO Group unveiled its new models during a two-hour live broadcast, hosted by Vick Hope, Joel McHale and Melvin Odoom. In its session on “90 years of play”, the LEGO Group launched its summer 90 e birthday parties.

The session saw the launch of two unique heritage products in honor of the grand occasion, each designed to evoke nostalgia. Center stage was the LEGO Lion Knights castle which features a working drawbridge and portcullis, hidden passageways, dungeon escape routes and spinning water wheels, plus the LEGO Galaxy Explorer set .

In addition to its new anniversary products, the company unveiled “Make the World a Playground”, a summer campaign for its 90 e birthday, where children and adults are invited to let their imaginations run wild and use their creativity to add even more play to our world.

Among the new products unveiled, fans were treated to an exclusive preview of the all-new LEGO Avatar merchandise line celebrating the entire franchise to date ahead of the December premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water. The newly revealed set includes the LEGO Toruk Makto and Tree of Souls avatar which allows fans to recreate the moment from the first film when Jake, as Toruk Makto, rallies the Omatikaya clan to defend not just one of their sites most sacred, the tree of Souls, but all Pandora.

The company also announced several exciting updates to its already beloved lines. Another big reveal saw viewers get an exclusive first look at all-new sets coming to fan-favorite LEGO Star Wars. The sets, LEGO Star Wars The Justifier and LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Walker will give fans the chance to recreate the epic stories of Star Wars: The Bad Batch with Cad Bane’s incredible bounty hunter spaceship model, The Justifier , or power in battle against the Separatist Droid Army with the AT-TE.

LEGO Marvel fans, meanwhile, were treated to their first look at a new Doctor Strange set featuring the Sanctum Sanctorum as featured in a number of movies, giving them a chance to open their own multiverse. LEGO Minecraft builders have been spoiled with two new sets to add to their collection: LEGO Minecraft The Abandoned Village and LEGO Minecraft The Skeleton Dungeon.

LEGO Super Mario lovers were not left out either! They got a sneak peek at all-new character packs that will be introduced to the LEGO Super Mario universe, featuring fun characters such as Nabbit, a purple toad, Hammer Bro, Waddlewing, Toady, Baby Yoshi, Red Yoshi and Blue Shy Guy . pleasure. They were also shown how new and existing characters can interact with the LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigui and LEGO Peach Starter Courses.

There was also a first look at a new sports range from LEGO Brickheadz allowing fans to become an FC Barcelona player in LEGO BrickHeadz form and viewers were the first to see the latest LEGO Minifigures collection which will join the LEGO range later this year.

LEGO MINDSTORMS has unveiled Machine Learning: a new extension to the Robot Inventor app, which uses your device’s camera or microphone to identify different images or sounds such as voice commands. Fans got an exclusive look at the LEGO Friends 2022 show finale, while LEGO NINJAGO got a glimpse of what’s to come later this year. LEGO CITY offered cool activities such as live studio stunt action and fans also had the chance to get closer than ever inside a LEGO Technic set.
