MESA, AZ (3TV / CBS 5) – Scottsdale Police said the body of the man who had been missing since September was found in Mesa.

Scottsdale officer Aaron Bolin said the Scottsdale Police Department Crime Lab confirmed the remains were those of 20-year-old Najib “Jubi” Monsif. Bolin also said there was no sign of foul play.

Monsif’s family reported his disappearance on September 23. According to police, Monsif left his father’s house north of Scottsdale that day. He did not take anything with him, including his ID card and cell phone.

Monsif’s body was found at a canal pumping station near Power Road and Red Mountain Loop 202, Boline said. It’s about a 30 minute drive to his father’s house.

Police say they have received hundreds of tips since Monsif’s disappearance.
