Reddit Soccer Streams was shut down earlier this year following harsh warnings from the Premier League.
More than 400,000 users had subscribed to the Reddit thread, which provided links to live football feeds.
The service was illegal and in violation of Reddit’s User Agreement with the Premier League sending a copyright infringement warning to popular thread moderators.
In January, a moderator said, “We have officially reached critical mass.
“I regret to inform you that a few days ago the Reddit admins contacted us regarding an impending ban on this subreddit if changes were not made.
“The only way to save it, from our perspective, was to stop all user activity here. “
It comes after more than 200,000 illegal Premier League match streams were blocked in the 2017/18 season.
TV rights for this and the next three seasons have cost Sky Sports and BT Sport around £ 4.6bn.
Amazon has also got involved with its first streaming package which will begin in August of this year.
They haven’t disclosed how much they paid for their deal, which will see Amazon display every game in the first round of midweek games in December, as well as every game on Boxing Day.
But even if you can’t use Reddit anymore, there is a way to stream football online legally.
