Do you need a studio controller to help you switch between scenes or load different media while you create content for Twitch, YouTube and other social media platforms? Then you probably want something like the Elgato Stream Deck Mk.2 which is on sale for $124.99 today on Amazon. (opens in a new tab). This is the latest release from Elgato, and the 2nd Gen Stream Deck hasn’t been released much since its initial release. Today’s price matches the lowest we’ve seen.
The Mk.2 on sale here hasn’t even dropped in price for Amazon Prime Day. The 1st Gen Stream Deck did just that, getting as little as $100 for the 15-key version. However, that deal disappeared when Prime Day ended, and you’ll find it’s either completely sold out or sold out for $150 at other retailers now.
We reviewed the Stream Deck Mk.2 and Harish Jonnalagadda gave it 4.5 stars out of 5. Harish said, “I didn’t realize how useful the Stream Deck would be in my daily workflow, well While it wasn’t as versatile for editing videos and images as it was for gaming, it made a big difference.”
Essentially, you get easy access to 15 LCD keys that you can customize however you like. They even have faceplates that you can remove and modify with designs and logos etc, so you know what each key does. It’s a simple and effective way to start social media posts, switch between scenes during live streaming, adjust lights and smart home appliances, and more. The Mk.2 has an improved design with removable media and connects via USB-C.
The Stream Deck is designed to work with tons of third-party programs including OBS, Streamlabs, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Spotify, and more. You can also create smart profiles that can switch between different key layouts depending on the apps you plan to use. Set up a profile for games and another video editing.
