“Big signs of Sam Walker executing it early in the set taking the foot off the short side,” Ennis said.

“This time just jump wide and then tap your left foot. Right away on that left foot and just cut Olakau’atu in half.

“Look at that. Accelerate outward to drag him down. Do it with his eyes, then cut him off with his left foot and unload it at Hutchison.

“Really good signs. Sam Walker got lost at times last week, but tonight he went in search of the contest.

“It’s a good sign for young Sam Walker and the Roosters.

” It was impressive. The subtlety of Walker speeding up to drag Olakau’atu towards him knowing full well he wanted to beat him on the inside. It was a brilliant halftime game.

The Roosters’ early dominance saw Daniel Tupou score their second to make it 10-0 after just 11 minutes after some brilliant hands from James Tedesco.

Nat Butcher dived in the 24th minute to make it 16-0.

“The roosters are hot tonight,” Dan Ginnane said.

“The Sea Eagles just can’t go with the Roosters right now,” added Ennis.

The Roosters’ first-half rout was over when Sitili Topouniua walked in from close range.

“They’re rolling the Sea Eagles,” Ginnane said.

“It’s an abysmal performance by the Sea Eagles,” Ennis said.

“Des Hasler will rip tape off the walls at halftime.”

Utility Dylan Walker offers to return from injury in place of Tolutau Koula, which should give Manly more creativity off the dummy when he enters.
