Who it is for: People who want a self-retracting hose for watering small areas.
For whom it is not: People who want a garden hose that can withstand high water pressure.
Coil garden hoses are the solution for watering small areas, such as small flower beds or vegetable gardens, porches, patios or even urban container gardens because they don’t require you to lug around a hose large in size just for those tasks. We found this hose extremely easy to transport and our testers noted that it was particularly easy to use. Plus, it springs back to its original shape for easy storage, without worrying about wrapping it around a spool.
This spiral hose is particularly distinguished for two reasons: its material and its design. Like our best heavy-duty hose, it’s made from UV-stabilized polyurethane, an extremely durable, flexible and lightweight material that resists punctures and abrasions. Fittings are lead-free brass. “I see it lasting for many years,” says one tester. In terms of design, this garden hose has single straight ends instead of being coiled throughout, making it easier to direct the water flow and attach it to the faucet. In addition, it is safe for drinking water. This hose has a rather small diameter at 3/8 inch which can restrict water flow, so it is best reserved for low pressure watering.
