The United States will seek revenge for last year’s series of NWT rivalries when Canada won 4-2. Team Canada got off to a good start by winning the first two games of the 2021-22 series. Team USA came back strong to tie the series at two games apiece. The last two games were not to be missed on TV, as they both ended in overtime wins for Canada.
Perhaps the biggest loss for Team USA due to recency bias is the 2022 IIHF Women’s World Championship gold medal game. Canada also won that game 2-1 for their 12th title. All the goals were scored in the second period. Team USA’s Taylor Heise scored the most points of the tournament with 18, but that wasn’t enough in the tight championship game. What do these two have in store for the renewal of this epic rivalry?
